Terms of Service

Effective: 2 May 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or paying for a subscription on SIGNAL/IDX (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SIGNAL/IDX is a database of startup ideas with editorial commentary and signal data sourced from public APIs (Hacker News, Reddit). Score, momentum, TAM, and competition fields are editorial estimates. Decisions you make based on the content are your own.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret. We recommend a unique password 12+ characters long.
  • One person per account. No account sharing.
  • You must be 16 or older.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Free accounts include access to one idea per day.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance: monthly ($32), annually ($299), or lifetime ($500 one-time).
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • No refunds. Once a billing period or one-time charge starts, the payment is non-refundable. See our Refund Policy for details.
  • Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days notice before applying a price increase to your subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Scrape, copy, or republish the database in bulk.
  • Use automated tools to access the Service except as expressly permitted.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
  • Resell access or share account credentials.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or violate any law.

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all content, code, branding, and database structure, is the property of SIGNAL/IDX or its licensors. Subscribers receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to view and reference the content for their own use only.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that any idea will be commercially successful. Score and TAM figures are estimates, not investment advice. SIGNAL/IDX is not a registered investment advisor or financial professional.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIGNAL/IDX's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the email associated with your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
